Before & After: A Main Floor Transformation for Liz and Mark

Liz and Mark’s Story

Where do you spend the bulk of time in your home? For homeowners, Liz and Mark, it's the main floor where they spend their favorite pastimes together: creating art, cooking, and entertaining their 5-year-old granddaughter. While they still loved the beautiful architecture and location of their home, the couple wanted to freshen up the space to allow for more light and open space to fill the main areas of congregation. 

Through extensive planning and design choices made collaboratively by the clients and Mega Remodel, a six-week transformation brought Liz and Mark into a new era of living!

The Remodeling Result

One of the most prominent elements of transformation was the floor. Mega Remodel installed new luxury vinyl plank floors in the entryway, kitchen, living room, and dining area. The natural, sand-colored floors create the perfect combination to bring out the original cabinetry and trim.

The new, white quartz countertops are paired with a moroccan-inspired tile backsplash, keeping the kitchen contemporary and clean. Liz and Mark wanted a more efficient space to prep and cook which is why Mega Remodel installed a level countertop to aid in maximizing all counter space.

The dining room now dons a unique, modern light fixture that creates a focal point for the family dining area. The fresh paint color also brings warmth and calmness without feeling making the room feel oversaturated.
