It’s Demo Day for Tina and Jason's Whole-House Remodel

Tina and Jason were looking for a home to settle in with their three boys that offered a larger space for the kids to entertain, and a big yard to spend time outdoors. Towards the end of 2019, they found a home in a Medina neighborhood they absolutely loved. Built in 2004, this traditional-style home with outdated damask wallpaper, dark countertops, and clunky light fixtures needed to undergo a major makeover in order to parallel with the homeowners’ modern style.

Tina and Jason knew they could make this their dream home with some pretty significant updates. They entrusted Meg to join them at the home in order to determine an estimated cost for their improvements before making an offer. After the offer was accepted, Mega Remodel worked diligently with the homeowners through the month of December to make decisions on their selections in order to start the project right after the new year.

On January 6, demo began! Mega Remodel continues to work alongside its long-standing trade partners and the family to complete this whole house remodel by mid-March.

The selected style choices for the kitchen and powder room countertops. The existing hardwood floors will be stained a deep brown color with gray undertones to contrast nicely with the light countertops and existing cabinetry.

The current tile floor in the mudroom and laundry room will be replaced with a beautiful stone luxury vinyl, perfect for a family of three boys. This material is a great option since it is water and scratch resistant, and easy to clean and maintain.

Meg has master plans for the master bathroom with all new tile and plumbing fixtures, including integrating a free-standing tub in a cozy corner. The placement of the window ledge will be perfect for peaceful candles or tea lights.

While the original cabinets were in fine shape, Mega Remodel will freshen up the kitchen space by installing a magnificent new quartz countertops with a chevron-tile backsplash.

Stay tuned for more updates on this project! For now, enjoy a few more demo photos.
